Pinbeam Books is the independent publishing arm of Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, authors of the beloved, long-running Liaden Universe® romantic space opera series.

Here you will find links to buy Adventures in the Liaden Universe® chapbooks, which include stories that fill out the action described in the Liaden novels, expanding background characters, intensifying world building, and exploring “what-ifs” outside of the scope of the novels.

The first Adventures in the Liaden Universe® chapbook, Two Tales of Korval, includes two stories.  “To Cut an Edge”  tells the story of how Val Con yos’Phelium, one of the heroes of the novels, and his brother Eleventh Shell Fifth Hatched Knife Clan of Middle River’s Spring Spawn of Farmer Greentrees of the Spearmakers Den: The Edger meet.  “A Day at the Races,” details how far two spirited young men will go in order to outrage their very proper aunt.

In 2020, Pinbeam Books launched a new imprint, Splinter Universe Presents, which collects outtakes, characters sketches, and discovery drafts previously posted to Lee and Miller’s Splinter Universe.
